Unique Hotel in Art Nouveau Style

Hotel Shamon is a cosy and charming boutique hotel. The villa is a protected monument designed by architect Paul Cauchie in Art Nouveau Style. It still maintains  a lot of authentic features such as: the beautiful stained glass windows which you will find throughout the property, and the exceptional Sgraffiti mural paintings.

The hotel has 10 unique rooms all fitted with modern comfort. Not forgetting the inviting breakfast room with a wonderful view of age-old trees in the garden and a beautiful decorated and cosy bar.

Our hotel is located in the capital of “Meetjesland”: Eeklo and is the perfect base to explore the region by foot and/or bicycle…

Hotel Shamon offers a great experience for everyone! A touristic holiday, a business trip, even a personalised gastronomic experience.

You’ll find delicious restaurants at walking distance from the hotel and the city centre of Eeklo is located at only 1,5 km.

Furthermore, the art cosmopolitan cities such as Bruges, Ghent or the coast; Knokke and Sluis (The Netherlands) are conveniently located at only 20 minutes’ drive.

A Building with history

Hotel Shamon is located in the building named “Villa Dageraad” a protected monument since 1994.

The villa was originally designed as a private house around 1910 which was 80 years later rebuilt to Hotel Shamon with its 8 unique rooms. More excitingly, the names of the rooms are individually named after important artists during the Art Nouveau period, for example: Paul Cauchie, Gustav Klimt, Henry Vandevelde,… The story is told that those artist all meant something for the completion of the villa…

Since July 2017 this wonderful villa came into our hands. We are a young and dynamic couple who would love to welcome you with open arms and want you to have a great stay at our place!

See you soon?
